TIENDA INDOCHINA En lo que hoy es el céntrico boulevard de San Rafael, en 1949, se inauguró la Tienda Indochina(San Rafael y Águila), dedicada a porcelana, cristalería fina, otros artículos para regalos, y joyería fina. Max N. Lichy, fundador y dueño de Indochina llegan a Cuba alrededor de 1920 durante su luna de miel y decide quedarse a residir en la isla. Con el tiempo sería abierta otra tienda Indochina en 23 y N, Vedado, en los bajos del Retiro Médico. En la actualidad la Tienda Indochina de San Rafael y Águila sigue funcionando como tal, mientras que la de 23 y N se transformó en control de pases del Ministerio de Salud Pública. Las fotos son del 1949, del momento en que se inauguró la Tienda Indochina de San Rafael y Águila.

Max N. Lichy, founder and owner of Indochina arrive in Cuba around 1920 during their honeymoon and decides to stay on the island. Eventually another Indochina store in 23 and N, Vedado, would be opened on the low of Medical Retreat. Currently the Indo-Chinese Store of San Rafael and Eagle continues to function as such, while the 23 and N store became pass control of the Ministry of Public Health. The photos are from 1949, the moment the Indo-Chinese Shop of San Rafael and Eagle was opened.
